DESCRIPTION:

Softening and salt removal

Production of low‑conductivity water using RO as primary step with polishing by EDI or mixed‑bed ion exchange, tailored to required conductivity and silica limits.

STANDARD SPECIFICATION:

– Target conductivity: 0.1–20 µS/cm (as specified)
– Silica targets per boiler/spec; TOC optional
– Process: RO → EDI or RO → MB (SAC+SBA)

INDUSTRY USE CASES:

– Boiler make‑up, rinsing water, electronics utilities

PRETREATMENT / INTEGRATION NOTES:

– CO₂ removal and degassing may be necessary
– Resin regeneration chemicals and waste planning for MB systems

STANDARD SCOPE OF SUPPLY:

– RO/EDI skids or MB vessels, dosing and controls

INLET REQUIREMENTS:

– Required conductivity/silica targets specified
– CO₂ removal/degassing considered; SDI under control

OPTIONS:

– RO + EDI or RO + mixed bed (SAC+SBA)
– CO₂ stripper/degas; TOC monitor for critical services

HOMOLOGATIONS / STANDARDS:

– CE; PED/ASME for pressure parts; electrical per IEC
