DESCRIPTION:
Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) with OreSorb technology from low-concentration brines
Process blocks for selective lithium uptake from brines using sorption/ion‑exchange media, followed by elution and concentration. Pretreatment controls scaling, silica and organics; downstream polishing by NF/RO/IX to spec.
STANDARD SPECIFICATION:
– Media classes: Li‑ion sieve (Mn‑oxide/Al‑based), organophilic resins, solvent systems (project‑specific)
– Brine salinity: 50–250 g/L TDS typical; Temperature per media window
– Cycle steps: load → rinse → elute → regenerate; acid eluents common
– Selectivity targets: Li/Na and Li/Mg ratios defined in test plan
– Pilot deliverables: mass balance, media life estimate, impurity profile
INDUSTRY USE CASES:
– Geothermal and salar brines with Li⁺ ≥ 80–100 mg/L
– Battery‑grade lithium precursor production (post‑processing outside scope)
PRETREATMENT / INTEGRATION NOTES:
– Bench/pilot testing is mandatory due to brine variability
– Pretreatment may include clarification, IX for calcium/magnesium and organics control
STANDARD SCOPE OF SUPPLY:
– Pilot media columns, elution/neutralization skids, analytics and report
INLET REQUIREMENTS:
– Brine chemistry and Li/Na/Mg profile characterized
– Pretreatment for scaling species (Ca/Sr/Ba, silica) as required
OPTIONS:
– Sorption/IX media classes; elution and neutralization skids
– Polishing by NF/RO/IX to product spec
HOMOLOGATIONS / STANDARDS:
– Skids CE-marked; pressure parts per PED/ASME; electrical per IEC
