DESCRIPTION:
Ultrafiltration membranes
Ultrafiltration (UF) with hollow-fiber outside‑in or inside‑out modules removes suspended solids, colloids and micro‑organisms (bacteria/viruses), delivering low‑turbidity feed for downstream processes.
STANDARD SPECIFICATION:
– Pore size: 0.02–0.1 µm (nominal); hollow fiber PVDF/PES
– Operating mode: outside‑in/inside‑out; dead‑end or crossflow with backwash
– TMP: 0.1–2.0 bar typical; design flux 30–90 LMH (raw‑water dependent)
– Backwash/air‑scour: 20–60 min intervals; CEB periodic; full CIP as required
– Permeate SDI15 typically ≤ 2–3
INDUSTRY USE CASES:
– Surface water clarification and reuse barriers
– Stable pretreatment for RO/NF/IX
– Industrial utilities and pathogen barrier prior to disinfection
PRETREATMENT / INTEGRATION NOTES:
– Upstream screening and optional coagulant aid for challenging feeds
– Integrity testing (pressure‑hold/bubble‑point) per vendor SOP
STANDARD SCOPE OF SUPPLY:
– UF modules/skid
– Backwash/air‑scour equipment; CEB/CIP tanks and dosing
– PLC sequences and integrity test routines
INLET REQUIREMENTS:
– Screening upstream (e.g., 100–500 µm)
– Target permeate SDI15 ≤ 2–3; manage oxidants per vendor
OPTIONS:
– Outside-in/inside-out module formats; air-scour/backwash packages
– CEB/CIP skids; integrity test kits
HOMOLOGATIONS / STANDARDS:
– Skids CE-marked; pressure components per PED/ASME as applicable
